German Cars of Sarasota

German Cars is a top shelf service company. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. I drive an older Mercedes and they keep it worry free and running perfectly.

It is not often in the car repair business that your expectations are exceeded. German Cars of Sarasota truly is level above the rest. I had a 2021 BMW X5 that had to have an AC evaporator replaced. They quickly confirmed the problem & immediately reached out to my extended car warranty company to get the claim started. They contacted the extended warranty company daily to make sure they provided the required authorization to proceed. Once authorized J.V., my advisor, somehow managed to fit me into their schedule which was completely full. Knowing that I had long trip planned the following week J. V. and their BMW technician Sean made it happen. They truly care about their customers. They are now my go to repair shop, and I will be recommending them to anyone I can. J.V. & Sean you guys' rock.

I had a recall on my x three (my second-they kept my first running to 197,000 miles) and I went down to the stealership (only they can do recall) as I called it and they told me I needed $8000. worth of work. Damn there goes my savings so I went to another place because german auto who I’ve seen for well almost 2 decades couldn’t take me right away. I’m not known for patience. so I went to another place that I had heard about locally and they said oh yeah you need $8500 worth of work but not exactly the same list as the other place (I didn’t give them the list). I had an appointment coming up with german auto and I went in and they said that’s ridiculous. We’ll see you in October. I said well what about the leak? they came out and said what leak? they knew my dilemma and they knew that I had been given two quotes for almost $8000 worth of work. They could’ve easily taken me for at least a few thousand or more and they didn’t! that speaks volumes! . I’ve worked with somebody there Sean who’s been there the entire time I’ve been going there. The place is amazing. They literally could’ve taken me for thousands! I don’t know anybody with a BMW who doesn’t go there! The work I’ve gott

Communication was excellent from initial estimate to completion. Significantly better priced than the dealership quoted and a lot less stressful experience. Wish I had found these guys sooner. I have already recommended them to friends who have German cars.

I recently had my oil changed here and overall had a positive experience. The service was quick, everyone was friendly, and the staff took the time to explain everything well. The only thing that stayed in the back of my mind was that the oil viscosity used was different from the OEM-specified weight, and that change was made without discussing it with me beforehand. I completely understand that they are the experts and I don't believe there were any bad intentions, and they explained their reasoning clearly afterward. My only feedback is that if a change from the manufacturer's recommendation is being considered, discussing it with the customer beforehand would help ensure everyone is on the same page. I'm not upset about it and still think they provided great service overall. Just something to consider about for the future. One thing worth mentioning is that the pricing was a little higher than I anticipated. My oil change and inspection service came to about $229, which was more than I expected for that type of service.
